Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Armed (Flexible Part Time Patrol) in San Antonio, TX. This role offers reliable fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform, enabling flexible hours and increased earnings.

The position requires a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas, a valid driver’s license, and being 21+ with a HS diploma. You’ll patrol retail locations, respond to incidents, and maintain detailed incident reports.

Qualifications

• Background investigation and drug screen as required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store clients, employees and visitors per security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly and coordinate with emergency services.
• Conduct armed patrols across the retail location, including entrances, parking and perimeters.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations and hazards to deter theft and unauthorized access.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation for incidents and patrols.

As a Security Officer Armed - Flexible Part Time Patrol in San Antonio, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to retail store clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, helping to deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, and other security‑related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
