Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in San Antonio, TX to provide reliable, flexible security coverage at a designated site. This role offers fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up additional hours through our scheduling platform.

This position requires a Level III Armed Certification in Texas, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work the fixed Wednesday shift (4:15 PM–11:30 PM) with potential to earn more by picking up extra shifts.

Qualifications

• Background check and drug screen as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail areas, lots, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unlawful activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site procedures and laws.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity to management.
• Maintain incident reports and daily activity logs for supervision.

As a Security Officer - Part Time Armed Patrol in San Antonio, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Wed 04:15 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, parking lots, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
