Allied Universal in Manassas, VA is hiring a Security Officer – Armed Patrol Enhanced Part Time Clearance Required. This role offers reliable hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

The position requires an armed guard card or license and an active DoD Secret Clearance, with a fixed shift of 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM on weekdays and Saturdays. Pay rate is $27.31 per hour.

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology and telecommunications location while carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, data infrastructure areas, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, or unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including coordinating with emergency responders when appropriate.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
