Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Manassas, VA. This role provides flexible, fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

The position requires an Armed Guard Card or License, DoD Secret Clearance, and a high school diploma. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents at a technology-focused site, earning $30 per hour.

As a Security Officer in Manassas, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 05:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology‑focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, data infrastructure perimeters, and surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrol findings, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
