Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in De Leon Springs, FL to provide armed security at an aerospace/defense environment. You will work a fixed weekly shift with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform, earning more while maintaining reliable hours.

The role requires an Armed Guard Card, a DoD Secret Clearance, and comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Security Clearance Patrol in De Leon Springs, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, and other assigned locations within an aerospace and defense environment.
• Monitor for and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, hazards, and policy violations; respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain assigned equipment, complete detailed activity and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
• Support access management for restricted areas by verifying credentials, following visitor procedures, and helping to deter unauthorized entry.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control/badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
