What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Maintain an armed presence in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required incident reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, screen visitors as directed, and communicate professionally with site personnel and local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
