Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Patrol in Richmond, VA to protect government offices by conducting armed patrols, monitoring access, and responding to incidents with professionalism.

You will work Thur and Fri schedule, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, carrying out site procedures and collaborating with a team that values customer service, safety, and integrity while offering flexible shifts and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government office location by following site procedures and access-control requirements.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and verify credentials as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Maintain armed post qualifications and handle equipment per policy.

• Fri 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government office location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned government buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing authorized visitors in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
