• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner and escalate as needed.

As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Controlled Entry Operations in Hialeah, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and driver entry, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Maintain access-control logs, issue and collect visitor badges or access devices, and report discrepancies according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
