Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out site-specific security procedures and access-control requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and following protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry; assist visitors with direction.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain documentation related to patrols, incidents, and observations.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver Inspection in Miami, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Wed: 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Thur: 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, assisting with visitor direction and maintaining awareness of activity throughout the assigned location.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
