This role provides reliable, scheduled hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

You will protect visitors and staff, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining safety protocols.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience.
• At least 2 years of security-related supervisory or managerial experience.
• At least 3 years of security-related experience.
• Armed Guard Card or license.
• College degree and high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to government facilities by verifying identification, credentials, and authorization requirements for personnel and visitors.
• Maintain visitor records, issue access credentials as authorized, and direct individuals to appropriate locations within the facility.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access.

As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Admissions in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.84 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Possess a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
