Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site procedures and emergency protocols.
• Conduct armed patrols of the facility and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for staff and visitors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; document observations and notify the proper personnel.
• Carry authorized equipment in compliance with laws and company policies.

As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time in Bennettsville, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, vendors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
