Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer to support school and campus safety initiatives in Ashburn, VA. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with administrators, responders, and law enforcement as needed.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and incidents.
• Carry and maintain assigned defensive equipment and firearms in accordance with policy and law.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out security-related procedures, school-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, coordinating with school administrators, first responders, and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and security-related incidents according to established procedures.
• Carry and maintain assigned defensive equipment and firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and applicable laws.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
