Job summary

Choctaw Casinos & Resorts in Idabel, OK is seeking a Full-Time Security Officer to protect property, respond to emergencies, and uphold policy standards.

Pay starts at $16.85 hourly with a scheduled increase to $19.30 after New Hire Training and MMPI approval. Weekly Earned Wage Access is available. This role requires a high school diploma, 21+ age, and the ability to obtain armed security licenses in OK and AR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• MMPI results must be Capable.
• Physically and mentally fit for security duties.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Annual firearms qualification required.
• Able to obtain armed security licenses in OK and AR.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Access, retrieve, and log computerized data.
• Investigates unusual, suspicious, or potentially dangerous situations.
• Assist with emergencies such as active shooter, medical, fire, severe weather.
• Conduct regular patrols of internal and external property.
• Maintain knowledge of Choctaw Nation regulations and confidentiality.
• Operate department vehicles in compliance with laws.
• Operate firefighting equipment and short-wave radio; administer CPR and first aid.
• Write incident reports and submit to Security Supervisor.
• Refer dangerous or complex problems to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Full Time | Pay Rate: $16.85 Hourly

Idabel Casino - Available Schedule 3pm-11pm OR 11pm-7am Days may vary.

Idabel Casino Too - Available Schedule 4pm-12am OR 12am-8am Days may vary.

Upon completion of New Hire Training and passing the MMPI, the pay rate will increase to $19.30 Hourly.

Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option.

Job Purpose or Objective(s):

Responsible for the protection of all property of the Choctaw Nation, rendering lifesaving aid when needed, operating under high stress dynamic situations while maintaining the highest level of professionalism, and for ensuring policies and procedures are followed as applicable.

Primary Tasks

• Access, retrieve, and log computerized data.
• Investigates unusual, suspicious, or potentially dangerous situations.
• Assists with all emergency situations such as active shooter, medical, fire, severe weather, etc.
• Conduct regular patrols of both internal and external company property.
• Possesses a thorough knowledge of Choctaw Nation regulations and procedures, while maintaining security and procedures according to rules, as well as strict confidentiality.
• Operate Department vehicles in accordance with all state and local laws
• Operates firefighting equipment and short-wave radio, and administer CPR and first aid.
• Write incident reports regarding all security issues, accidents, theft, or vandalism and submit to the Security Supervisor.
• Refers dangerous situations or complex problems to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• At least of 21 years of age.
• Must receive "Capable" results from Department issued MMPI.
• Must be physically and mentally fit and able to perform all of the essential functions of a Security Officer and pass a physical fitness test.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to reason and react calmly and quickly in emergency and life threatening situations.
• Able to qualify yearly with department firearms.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an armed security license in Oklahoma and Arkansas.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and make logical decisions in high stress and conflict situations.
