Job summary

Cherokee Nation Entertainment in Oklahoma is seeking an Armed Security Guard to protect casino properties, guests, and employees through vigilant patrols and strict safety compliance. This safety-sensitive role requires ability to respond to incidents, perform CPR/first aid, and coordinate with local law enforcement, with required licenses and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 6 months security experience.
• CLEET armed security guard license preferred; required within 180 days.
• Cherokee Nation Armed Security Officer license required.
• Working knowledge of firearms and defensive tactics.
• Working knowledge of surveillance video systems and chain of evidence.
• Able to pass CNE custody control and weapons training.
• Able to obtain licensing by the gaming authority.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable in diverse settings including outdoors, indoors, and casino floors with smoke.

Responsibilities

• Actively patrol CNE properties to protect assets, guests, and employees.
• Prevent guests from entering with prohibited items and verify IDs.
• Greet guests, provide directions, and assist as needed.
• Respond to accidents and incidents, performing CPR/first aid as needed.
• Detect suspicious activity and maintain detailed incident reports.
• Maintain relationships with local law enforcement and fire departments.
• Prepare written reports of investigations and interview witnesses.
