Job summary

Kickapoo Casino Shawnee is seeking a Part Time Security Officer to monitor and protect the casino floor in Shawnee, OK. You will patrol assigned areas, escort monetary transfers, observe for suspicious activity, and coordinate with supervisors and law enforcement as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, an Oklahoma license (or the ability to obtain within 30 days), and prior security or military experience. Excellent customer service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Current Oklahoma State License or able to acquire within 30 days of hire.
• Prior security, law enforcement or related experience required.
• Must work well with peers, staff and regulatory personnel.
• Documents proving identity and employment eligibility.
• Kickapoo Tribal Gaming License required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain direct communication with supervisor and surveillance.
• Protect designated areas; observe and report unusual activities.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment.
• Prepare reports on internal, criminal or injury matters; escort money as needed.
• Patrol work areas; assist customers and other departments.
• Escort money transfers to/from vault and gaming machines.
• Monitor casino parking lot; preserve order and protect property.
• Circulate among visitors and employees to deter disturbances.
• Assist civil and law enforcement authorities; testify when required.
• Be aware of promotions within the casino.
• Uniformed and badge-wearing Security Officer.
• Provide friendly, courteous customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• 1. Maintain a direct line of communication with their immediate supervisor and surveillance for any related incidents regarding the establishment.


• 2. Primarily responsible for the protection of a particular area, including observation and reporting of unusual. dangerous, or suspicious activities.


• 3. This position maintains a clean, safe and enjoyable environment.


• 4. Conducts such duties as report writing of internal, criminal or injury related matters, escorts of money and other important documentation, as required.


• 5. Patrols assigned work areas and assists customers and other departments, as needed.


• 6. Responsible for escorting money transfers to and from the vault, offices and the gaming machines on the floor and maintain security level to safeguard assets.


• 7. Monitor and patrol the parking lot of the gaming facility.


• 8. Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.


• 9. Provides assistance to civil and law enforcement authorities, including detain for probable cause, those persons that may be involved in illegal acts and testimony in court and other administrative hearings.


• 10. Be aware of special promotions within the casino.


• 11. The Security Officer is uniformed and badged distinctively.


• 12. Provide friendly and courteous customer service.


• 13. Performs other duties and projects as required by management.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications for Consideration:

• High School diploma or GED preferred. Technical school or formal apprenticeship may be required.


• Current Oklahoma State License or able to acquire on within 30 days of hire date.


• Prior experience in law enforcement, military or civilian security Services required.


• Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.


• Documents that establish both Identity and Employment Eligibility.


• Kickapoo Tribal Gaming License.
