Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Armed) in Ridley Park, PA. You will patrol and monitor facilities, verify credentials, and respond to incidents with professional judgment while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires Act 235 certification and PA licensing readiness, with CPR and pepper spray certifications preferred. Flexible shifts and opportunities for growth are offered within Allied Universal’s security team.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by following security procedures and emergency protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity and hazards.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials; report discrepancies and escalate as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow post orders and emergency protocols.
• Prepare clear reports, maintain logs, and communicate observations to leadership and site contacts.

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations requiring sound judgment. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $28.71 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 05:30 AM - 01:30 PM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials in accordance with site requirements; report discrepancies and follow established escalation procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and emergency protocols.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain required logs, and communicate relevant observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
