Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is looking for a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Access Control in New Port Richey, FL. You will protect clients, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role offers a flexible schedule (Mon, Tue, Sun 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM) and opportunities to grow, with access to our Shift-claiming platform. Candidates must have an armed guard card; firearms permit preferred; high school diploma;

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as required.
• Firearms permit preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Driver's license required for driving roles only.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-control concerns calmly and effectively.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the facility, including entrances and perimeters.
• Monitor restricted areas, verify credentials, and report irregularities.
• Prepare clear reports and communicate observations to relevant personnel.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $23.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue: 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear reports and communicate observations, incidents, and response activities to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
