Job summary

Allied Universal® in Salisbury, NC is hiring an Armed Security Officer. You will patrol a retail distribution facility, deter security incidents, and respond professionally to incidents while delivering excellent customer service. The role requires a valid armed license, background check, and compliance with safety policies.

This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $19.10 per hour. Day and evening shifts are scheduled to cover a busy distribution operation, with opportunities to develop

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and policies at a retail distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner following procedures.
• Conduct armed patrols of the facility, warehouses, docks, parking areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documents, and report unusual conditions.
• Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs accurately and timely.

As a Security Officer Armed in Salisbury, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a retail distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the distribution facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation as assigned, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
