Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Armed Security Officer in Salisbury, NC to protect clients across Retail/ malls and more. You will patrol, deter incidents, respond to alarms, and deliver professional customer service in a dynamic, welcoming environment.

Minimum requirements include being 21+, high school diploma, background check, drug screen, and valid driver's license for driving posts. The schedule is Sat 8 PM–Sun 8 AM and Sun 8 PM–Mon 8 AM with pay rate $19.10 hourly.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and staff while following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail location and surrounding areas.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report observations through required channels.
• Maintain readiness of equipment and complete activity/incident reports; coordinate with law enforcement when needed.

Pay Rate: $19.10 / Hour

Schedule flexibility and prior supervisory experience preferred

• Sat: 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM
• Sun: 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established armed post procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, theft-related concerns, and other security-related issues, and report observations through required channels.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment, complete accurate activity and incident reports, and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
