Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Armed Patrol in Salisbury, NC. You will provide customer service, conduct armed patrols across the retail site, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible presence and professionalism.

The role requires at least 21 years of age, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. A driver’s license is required where applicable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers and store personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail location including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones and perimeter.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, theft-related concerns and other security issues; report observations through required channels.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and complete accurate activity and incident reports; coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when appropriate.

What You'll Do:

• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established armed post procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, theft-related concerns, and other security-related issues, and report observations through required channels.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment, complete accurate activity and incident reports, and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
