Responsibilities

• Provide security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.
• Perform proactive monitoring and respond promptly to potential/actual security threats.
• Investigate, document, and manage security incidents and hazards.
• Follow policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster plans; facilitate drills and simulations.
• Assist staff and visitors to promote safety.
• Operate in a safe manner to prevent accidents and traffic violations.

Minimum Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• In-state (Alabama) concealed carry weapons permit required.
• Drivers License from the Alabama Department of Motor Vehicles required.
• Security Professional certification preferred.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalency OR 1 year of applicable job-specific experience required.
