Intelligence Careers seeks a Security Officer (GG-0080-13) to lead the Special Security Office, the single point of contact for SCI and information security. The role requires strong oversight of security programs, policy interpretation, and coordination with contractors and government officials.

The primary purpose of this position, Security Officer, GG-0080-13, is to manage all functions as the Chief, Special Security Office (also referred to as SSO). This office is the single point of contact and office of primary responsibility (OPR) for all Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and intelligence information security functions and information assurance actions.
Eight (8) years' experience overseeing Special Compartmented Information operations.Security Manager (SSM Certification).

Position is designated Special-Sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), Security Asset Protection Professional Certification and Security Program Integration Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative.
