Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Canton, MS to provide customer service and safeguard clients across various industries. The role involves alarm panel familiarity, unarmed patrols, access control, and incident reporting, with a focus on safe, calm responses to incidents.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused business location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior workspaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, loading areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with credential verification, visitor direction, and reporting access irregularities.
• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications accurately and in a timely manner.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
