Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Alarm Systems for a technology location in Canton, MS. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, verify badges, and respond to alarms, while delivering excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driver’s license required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while enforcing site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeters to identify hazards and unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, directing authorized individuals as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate shift activities to leadership.

You will support loss-prevention efforts, assist visitors and employees, document observations using computer or tablet systems, and deliver outstanding service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.20 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, office areas, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and assist with directing authorized individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required documentation.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding incidents, observations, and shift activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Previous alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Previous loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
