Job summary

Allied Universal, the leading security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer in Saint Louis, MO. This role offers reliable hours with the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform, helping you earn more while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour. The position features fixed anchor shifts and a six-month commitment, with opportunities to scale up to a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at a front desk location within a technology, media, and telecommunications environment by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor access points, review entry activity, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or designated personnel when appropriate.
• Support front desk operations by answering phones, directing guests, receiving deliveries, and communicating security‑related information to employees and visitors.

Job Schedule:

Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.
