Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer - Airport Passenger Patrol. You will patrol terminals, deter security incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role offers a set afternoon/evening schedule and pays $21.25 per hour. Responsibilities include responding to incidents, coordinating with airport staff, and recording observations according to site procedures.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, report observations, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout terminal public areas, operational spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by location procedures, and assist with maintaining orderly movement through designated areas.
• Communicate professionally with airport operations personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and/or other stakeholders while supporting a professional and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
