Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable, flexible hours at an assigned site, with the potential to pick up extra shifts via the scheduling platform. The role offers a six-month anchor shift commitment and opportunities to grow into a full-time schedule, with a pay rate of $21.25 per hour.

The position requires a NYS Security Guard License, 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed), a high school diploma, and successful background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport personnel and responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout terminal areas and facilities to identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Monitor access-controlled areas and ensure compliance with location procedures for entry, deliveries, and visitor activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents to Allied Universal leadership and location contacts.

As a Security Officer - Airline Patrol, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with appropriate airport personnel and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout terminal public areas, access points, exterior perimeters, and assigned facilities to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Monitor access‑controlled areas and support compliance with location procedures for authorized entry, deliveries, and visitor activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, observations, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated location contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
