Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer at an Airport Logistic Facility in San Diego, CA. You will provide unarmed security, monitor access, and deliver excellent customer service within a logistics and distribution setting.

The position requires at least 6 months of security experience, a high school diploma, and eligibility for licensing. Wage is $20.60 per hour with full-time shifts including DayTime and Evening schedules.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel at a logistics and distribution location by following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and driver credentials as required, and maintain logs of entries, exits, deliveries, and incidents.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, solution-oriented manner and coordinate with relevant personnel.
• Report security concerns, suspicious activity, property damage, and policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
