Job summary

Allied Universal in New York is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to protect travelers and property at the airport. You will monitor terminals, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

This role offers flexible scheduling, paid training, and opportunities to earn more through shift claims. A NY Security Guard License, high school diploma, and a background check are required; drug testing applies.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, access points, parking facilities, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while working collaboratively with airport operations and emergency response personnel.

Fri 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM

Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
