Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer for Airport Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA. This full-time swing-shift role focuses on safeguarding travelers and property while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a visible security presence.

You will monitor access points, conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and coordinate with airport operations when needed.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, restricted access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, access concerns, hazards, and facility conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Help deter unauthorized access and disruptive activity through professional presence and timely reporting.

As a Security Officer Airport Access Controlin Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to routine concerns. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, restricted access points, and perimeter locations, with working conditions that may vary across the location.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, access concerns, hazards, and/or facility conditions to appropriate personnel in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport operations and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and disruptive activity through a professional presence, observation, and timely reporting of security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
