Allied Universal in New York, NY seeks a Security Officer - Airline Passenger Area to monitor and protect travelers, staff and visitors across airport facilities. Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Background histories considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may require state/local compliance.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and vendors while following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, terminals, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and in a professional, problem-solving manner.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and security-related documentation while maintaining a professional presence.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to travelers, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Thur 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Fri 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sat 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sun 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport facilities, terminals, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
• Observe and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and security-related documentation while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
