Job summary

Allied Universal in San Diego, CA is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for Afternoon Patrol. You will help safeguard clients across aerospace/defense locations, perform regular patrols, manage access, and deliver excellent customer service with professional communication.

Active DoD Secret clearance is required. Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; background checks and drug screening will be conducted as required by law. This is a full-time position with shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Applicants must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity or unauthorized access in line with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Assist with access control and visitor management to deter unauthorized activity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Afternoon Patrol - Active Clearance Requiredin San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support access control and respond professionally to site needs while demonstrating Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring values through teamwork and integrity. Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.

Pay Rate: $24.61 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations at an aerospace and defense facility.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Assist with access control and visitor management procedures while helping to deter unauthorized activity at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
