Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Wilmington, NC to safeguard clients and provide friendly, proactive security. You will monitor campus areas, deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Minimum requirements include at least 6 months of security-related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and successful background checks. The position is Full Time with a $15.00/hour pay rate and a defined evening schedule.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the campus.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting unusual conditions, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and relevant observations accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
