As a Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
• Thur 07:00 AM - 11:00 AM
• Fri 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government office areas, public spaces, entrances, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and promptly reporting security-related concerns, hazards, or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
