Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to support a healthcare location in Northport, AL. This part-time role requires patrolling, monitoring access points, and assisting patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and care.

You will respond to incidents and emergencies, maintain a visible security presence, and follow reporting procedures to keep the site safe and welcoming. A valid Guard Card is preferred; must be 18+ and meet state requirements.

• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions, and maintain a professional presence that helps support a welcoming healthcare environment.
• Document observations, incidents, and unusual activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
