Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers and employees with access control procedures.
• Monitor and control entry by verifying IDs, credentials, appointments and entry authorization.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, driver and vehicle logs; handle access credentials.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document activities for reporting.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Identity Verification in Thomson, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying identification, visitor credentials, delivery appointments, and authorization for entry and exit.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, driver, and vehicle logs, issuing and collecting access credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, business facilities, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
