Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Identity Verification in Thomson, GA. You will safeguard clients across distribution sites, managing entry points and verifying credentials to maintain a secure environment.

You will provide professional customer service, document security-related information, and respond to incidents with a calm, solutions-focused approach. This is a full-time position with consistent early shifts.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required by law.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying identification, visitor credentials, delivery appointments, and authorization for entry and exit.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, driver, and vehicle logs, issuing and collecting access credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, business facilities, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
