Job summary

Allied Universal® in Ladson, SC is seeking a Security Officer – Access Verification. You will manage access control at an automotive location, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and deliver professional customer service to employees and visitors.

Responsibilities include monitoring access points, issuing visitor passes, conducting patrols of entrances and parking areas, and responding calmly to incidents following site procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet and provide customer service.

• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-control logs and records.
• Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, parking areas, business spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Support emergency response activities in accordance with site-specific procedures and provide clear communication to visitors, employees, and responding personnel.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
