Allied Universal in Saint Johns, MI is seeking a Security Officer Access Validation to join our team. You will safeguard client sites by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and managing visitor access with courteous service.

You will also respond to incidents, coordinate with site personnel, and help maintain a safe, compliant environment. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, background check, drug screen, and 21+ for armed roles.

Qualifications

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur - 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri - 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat - 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun - 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying visitor, employee, and contractor credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, delivery, and access records; issue and collect access credentials as authorized.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or access‑control concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
