As a Security Officer Access Screening in Madison, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology location, you will support access screening, monitor entry points, and help maintain an orderly environment for employees and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a high-traffic technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and access screening protocols.
• Screen individuals, packages, and permitted items entering the location in accordance with established policies, escalating prohibited or suspicious items through appropriate channels.
• Verify credentials, manage visitor entry processes, and maintain accurate screening-related logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
