Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Request Processing in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and provide professional communication to visitors and personnel. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

• Mon11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Tue11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Wed11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Thur11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Fri11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access-control logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access for contractors, deliveries, and authorized personnel at a construction-related technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business, perimeter, entry points, and construction-related work areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
