Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Registry in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology-focused construction location, you will manage visitor entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, lobby areas, business spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
