Job summary

Allied Universal in Owensville, IN is seeking a Security Officer Access Operations to safeguard clients across utilities and other sectors. You will monitor access points, verify credentials, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents while delivering exceptional customer service in a busy utility environment.

This full-time role offers a pay rate of $15.00 per hour with evenings and weekend shifts; opportunities for training and career growth within a nationwide security leader.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a utility location.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report access irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document daily activities, observations, incidents, and access-related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
