• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with site leadership or responders as directed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, adjacent areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Management in South Hill, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and controlling visitor and employee access. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and provide outstanding customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a manufacturing and industrial location, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and issue or collect access badges in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access for employees, vendors, and vehicles, directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas while reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
