• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate concerns to site contacts or emergency services when required.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Coordination in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, support badge-control activities, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying credentials and directing individuals to appropriate locations as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when required.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
