Job summary

Allied Universal in South Bend, IN seeks a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Guest Relations to monitor and protect facilities, assist visitors, and support access control in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

You will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and provide courteous service while representing our people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a telecommunications-related location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access activity and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency responders as needed.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Guest Relations in South Bend, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.
