Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control - Retail in Imlay City, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible throughout the facility, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. Your role is essential in supporting a positive and secure atmosphere through teamwork and a caring approach.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment for food and beverage operations.
• Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site protocols.
• Document and report any unusual activity or incidents observed during patrols or while monitoring access points.
• Collaborate with site staff to address security-related concerns specific to food and beverage production and storage areas.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Current CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
