Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Troy, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a retail environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity in every interaction.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

DayTime

Mon 10:00 AM - 08:00 PM

Sun 11:30 AM - 06:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity within the retail environment.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
