Job summary

The Cumberland County, PA is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to safeguard county buildings and grounds for employees and the public. The role includes monitoring access, video surveillance, and incident response.

Responsibilities cover screening at ingress/egress, maintaining detailed logs, coordinating with Deputies, and responding to emergencies with professional conduct. On-call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of security experience.
• Must be willing to obtain AED/CPR/First Aid and Passive Restraint Training after hire.
• Must have a valid PA Driver's License.
• Able to react quickly in disturbances or outbreaks.

Responsibilities

• Manage access control and surveillance across county buildings.
• Screen public and staff at entry points per County policy.
• Maintain logs and monitor after-hours security.
• Interact with the public and county agencies, providing direction and assistance.
• Attend meetings, seminars, and training as directed.
• Work shifts or on-call as scheduled.
