Job summary

First Coast Security Services, Inc. is seeking motivated Security Officers to provide professional security services in Jacksonville, Florida and surrounding areas.

Officers protect client property, employees, visitors, and premises while maintaining a safe, secure environment. Responsibilities include controlling access, monitoring entrances, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, maintaining order, and enforcing client and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older as required by policy.
• Florida Unarmed Guard Card required and maintained.
• Must pass background and drug screenings.
• Must stand or walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Two years of unarmed security or law enforcement experience OR two years of U.S. Armed Forces service.
• High School Diploma or GED or 60 credits in related field.

Responsibilities

• Control access to client facilities through admittance and screening procedures.
• Assist authorized visitors and employees with entry to facilities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and movement of people and vehicles.
• Prevent unauthorized entry and respond to disturbances.
• Conduct foot patrols in assigned areas.
• Prepare accurate security logs and incident reports.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents per established procedures.
• Perform other security duties as required for the posted post.
